The GR2-6.7D-A Wire Rope Isolator is a lightweight mechanical protection component engineered for compact electronic systems exposed to vibration, repeated movement and occasional impact.
With a height of 23 mm, width of 24 mm and an approximate weight of only 0.07 kg, this model provides greater elastic travel than the smaller GR2 models while retaining a compact installation envelope. It is well suited to professional cameras, aerial mapping payloads, airborne communication modules, optical instruments and other weight-sensitive assemblies.
The GR2-6.7D-A uses a Φ3.3 mm stainless steel cable between two precision-machined metal mounting blocks. The curved cable loops deform under external excitation, while friction between the individual wire strands dissipates part of the transmitted energy. This enables one component to perform as a Wire Rope Shock Absorber and a Wire Rope Vibration Damper.
Key Features
The 23 mm-high cable structure provides greater movement allowance than the smaller models in the GR2 family, helping absorb impact energy without requiring a large mounting area.
At approximately 0.07 kg per unit, the GR2-6.7D-A protects sensitive components without adding excessive weight to camera platforms, UAV payloads or portable instruments.
The curved wire rope loops can deform vertically and laterally, allowing the isolator to respond to vibration and shock from more than one direction.
The cable supplies elastic support, while internal strand friction dissipates energy. No separate spring, rubber pad or hydraulic damper is required.
The 24 mm-wide body and M3 × 0.5 threaded connection make the unit suitable for small equipment housings and closely spaced mounting points.
A, B, C, D, E and S mounting options support different structural layouts and provide flexibility during system integration.

Product Advantages
The GR2-6.7D-A helps reduce the peak force reaching cameras, lenses, sensors, circuit boards and connectors when equipment experiences sudden movement or handling shock.
Used as a Cable Isolator, it can help limit vibration transmission to imaging and measuring components, supporting clearer image capture and more stable instrument output.
The Stainless Steel Wire Rope Isolator does not rely on rubber components that can harden, crack or change stiffness over time.
The cable structure is suitable for repeated flexing and cyclic loading, making the product practical for equipment that operates continuously or undergoes frequent transport.
Its passive all-metal construction requires no electrical supply, lubricant or replacement damping fluid.
The available mounting options allow engineers to integrate the isolator into horizontal, vertical or combined support arrangements.
Why Choose the HOAN GR2 Series?
The HOAN GR2 series is designed for lightweight and space-sensitive equipment requiring reliable mechanical isolation.
Several GR2 specifications are available, allowing engineers to match different supported loads and displacement requirements.
Small mounting dimensions make the series suitable for cameras, airborne payloads, communication modules and precision electronics.
The wire rope geometry supports compression, shear and combined loading rather than limiting the product to one operating direction.
Stainless steel cable and metal mounting blocks provide dependable performance without rubber aging.
HOAN can assist with model selection based on equipment weight, isolator quantity, mounting direction, vibration conditions and shock requirements.
