GR2-6.7D-A Miniature Wire Rope Isolator
The GR2-6.7D-A Wire Rope Isolator is a lightweight mechanical protection component engineered for compact electronic systems exposed to vibration, repeated movement and occasional impact.
With a height of 23 mm, width of 24 mm and an approximate weight of only 0.07 kg, this model provides greater elastic travel than the smaller GR2 models while retaining a compact installation envelope. It is well suited to professional cameras, aerial mapping payloads, airborne communication modules, optical instruments and other weight-sensitive assemblies.
The GR2-6.7D-A uses a Φ3.3 mm stainless steel cable between two precision-machined metal mounting blocks. The curved cable loops deform under external excitation, while friction between the individual wire strands dissipates part of the transmitted energy. This enables one component to perform as a Wire Rope Shock Absorber and a Wire Rope Vibration Damper.
